KRISTIAN VALEN TO PERFORM AT MICHAEL JACKSON MEMORIAL SHOW Valen has been tapped to perform at "Forever Michael - Celebration of an Icon", a red carpet event to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (home of the Golden Globes) on Saturday, June 26, 2010 and organized by the Jackson Family Foundation. Mrs. Katherine Jackson (Michael´s mother) has requested that Kristian perform his hit "Still Here" and dedicate it to Michael´s memory. Says Angel Howansky, long-time Jackson family spokesperson: "Kristian is a real and rare talent! We cannot believe that he has not been discovered in the U.S. before! We are proud to be the first to present him to the U.S. and Michael Jackson fans all over the world and to the world press! He had us laughing from the first meeting and we have all become huge fans of his, both as a big-hearted person and as a world-class artist. He will be perfect for this show since he has both the ability to be funny and serious, and we know that Michael would have loved him! Michael was always for discovering TRUE talent and not the created stars, etc., as we see more and more of in today´s entertainment industry. He has everything to become one of the biggest entertainers in the world with the right people around him! Today´s artists are either stand-up comics and only impersonate 1 or 4 people, but then they cannot sing, etc., and Kristian does it all - which is something we have never seen before. We cannot wait to show Kristian to Michael´s fans and the rest of the world! He can impersonate a huge number of world-famous stars and he is a great singer and songwriter, as well, and we have really fallen in love with him as a person and artist. NEW DVD- GOLD TROPHEY IN THE FIRST WEEK Valen's second TV show (Valen and Them), which ran from February till late April, 2006, ended up being TV-Norway´s highest-rated TV production so far this year. When the DVD was released on 16 May it went gold in the first week and is expected to reach platinum shortly, according to Sandrew Metronome and Warner Bros. This makes Kristian the highest-selling DVD artist ever in Norway. He has now sold over 500.000 CDs/DVDs. |

RELEASE PLAN FOR THE DEBUT ALBUM Kristian Valen´s international version of his debut album "Listen When Alone" will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 313music. The album is distributed by Universal, and on Warner Bros in Scandinavia. Other territories are in the works, in addition to a special limited version soon to be released in Norway, where the first edition has already sold platinum. VALEN´S "WHERE I'M GOING" IS ADDED TO THE HOLLYWOOD PICTURE SOUNDTRACK "LIVING THE DREAM"! Valen´s song "Where I'm Going" (From his debut album Listen When Alone) has just been added to the movie soundtrack for Living the Dream where he also stars with Sean Young (Blade Runner with Harrison Ford, No Way Out with Kevin Costner and Pet Detective with Jim Carrey) and Danny Trejo (known from Heat with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer, and the TV Series Desperate Housewives with Teri Hatcher), to name a few. The song is used in the movie when Sean Young's character breaks down and everything seems to go to hell. Valen originally wrote the song as a letter to his loved ones years before, when he was in the hospital and the doctors did not know how serious his condition was or whether or not he would pull through. "It was very important to me to know in what type of scene my song would be used before saying yes, since this song - as all of my songs - has a strong personal history! I think and hope it will fit in because it's really a song about knowing nothing, feeling everything is going straight to hell and you can't do anything about it - being scared, but at the same time clinging on to every small hope, etc.," says Valen |

KRISTIAN SIGNS INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHING DEAL What do Kristian, David Bowie, the Outcast, The Who, Blondie, Billy Idol, AC/DC and Michael Jackson all have in common? They are all represented by powerhouse music publisher Chrysalis. Kristian joined these (and many more) song writing giants when he signed an exclusive music publishing contract with Air Chrysalis Scandinavia, Chrysalis´ Stockholm office. It was meant to portray a tragic and brutal romantic break-up in the most honest way possible, and that is just what he has accomplished. A very enthusiastic Valen says on the phone from Santa Monica in California that he is very pleased with the result. Like his previous video, this one is also based on experiences from his private life. |

INTERNATIONAL BREAK THROUGH Since last summer, Kristian has traveled extensively between USA, Germany, Sweden and Norway. He is now considering several interesting offers. "A born pessimist, my general attitude towards this is being questioned. But I live day by day and don't believe anything until I see it", says Kristian. A very humble and almost childish joy over what has happened lately fills him these days. The international awareness awoke in January when he visited the world?s biggest most important music conference (the MIDEM Conference) in Cannes, France, the Midem Conference. |

FILM As if this wasn´t enough: Kristian Valen has received more new film scripts which he is currently considering. His big screen debut was in the film "Living the Dream". The film´s cast includes (among others) Sean Young, Jeff Conoway and Larry Drake, and Kristian´s performance has already attracted attention on both sides of the Atlantic. He is currently working on a new war-drama based on a true story. |

70,.000 DVDS SOLD Kristian´s show (entitled "Fartøy Valen" in Norwegian and "M/S Valen" in English) has been released on DVD. The show has received great response from the critics, and it entered the sales charts at No. 1 in its first week. The DVD has already sold over 70,000 copies. Kristian´s first DVD ("Valen-TV") has sold 120,000 - this in a country with only 4.5 million people. Unbelievable! |
